Pass form variables through User::require_login ()

edited September 2013 in Framework

I want to let users start filling out a form before logging in. When they submit the first phase, they need to log in before filling out the second phase. If I use User::require_login () on the second phase, is there a way, after they log in, for the second phase to know what was posted from the first phase?

Or would it be better to save the form to the db in between and then load it on the second phase? The problem with that is I don't really want to store forms that weren't completed.

  • You could store the info from the first form in a cookie, their session data, the cache, or the database really. Most of those would auto-expire after a time, so the cleanup of unfinished forms would be automatic.
